Field of Light
Bruce Munro's award-winning art installation — 50,000 illuminated stems glowing in the desert at night.
About Field of Light
British artist Bruce Munro's Field of Light is a vast outdoor installation of more than 50,000 frosted-glass stems, fibre-optically lit and gently changing colour, blooming across an area the size of seven football fields in the desert near Uluru.
Originally conceived as a temporary exhibition, it has been so loved that it has been extended indefinitely — and is now one of the must-do experiences of the Red Centre.
