Whitehaven Beach
Seven kilometres of pure silica white sand on Whitsunday Island — consistently rated one of the world's best beaches.
About Whitehaven Beach
Whitehaven is consistently voted one of the world's best beaches — and it's easy to see why. Seven kilometres of 98% pure silica sand are so fine and white that they squeak underfoot, and stay cool even on the hottest day.
At nearby Hill Inlet, the tide swirls the brilliant white sand into the turquoise sea in patterns that change with every tide — the most photographed scene in the Whitsundays.
