    Hooker Valley Track

Easy 3-hour return walk into the heart of Mount Cook National Park — three swing bridges and a glacier-fed lake.

    About Hooker Valley Track

The Hooker Valley Track is the most accessible of all New Zealand's great walks — 10km return on a flat, well-formed path that delivers you into the very heart of Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park.

Three swing bridges cross the milky Hooker River, and the trail ends at Hooker Lake — a glacial pond often dotted with floating icebergs, with Aoraki itself filling the horizon.
